Eutelsat Group combines Eutelsat’s strong fleet of 37 geostationary orbit (GEO) satellites with OneWeb’s constellation of 634 Low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, all of which are currently in orbit and delivering global services.
Eutelsat Group now has more than 630 satellites in Low Earth orbit (LEO), consolidating its leadership in satellite communications. Yes, our focus is on providing global coverage by the end of this year.
We are working with our partners to design combined GEO–LEO user terminals that will allow seamless switching between orbits. We expect the development of these terminals to take a few months. In the meantime, customers can engage with us and our sales teams to develop service packages that meet their needs using both GEO and LEO capabilities.
