AUSBAU UND ERNEUERUNG UNSERER FLOTTE

Das Investitionsprogramm für den Orbit von Eutelsat hat drei Schlüsselziele:

  • Erneuerung unserer Flotte für den langfristigen Erhalt unserer Kundenbeziehungen;
  • Ausbau unserer Ressourcen für sich entwickelnde Märkte;
  • Innovation und Verbreitung unseres Angebotsportfolios für Anwendungen auf unseren Satelliten.

FLEXSAT AMERICAS

New gen. high-throughput, software-defined satellite, for flexibility and instant reconfigurability

Eutelsat has selected Thales Alenia Space to build a next-generation highly flexible, software-defined satellite.

Flexsat Americas (flexible satellite) will be based on Thales Alenia Space’s cutting-edge ‘Space Inspire’ (INstant SPace In-orbit REconfiguration) product line, enabling seamless reconfiguration and instant in-orbit adjustment to offer an optimum level of customer service, maximising the effective use of the satellite resources.

The new satellite will expand Eutelsat’s in-orbit assets providing more than 100 Gbps of incremental capacity over the Americas to support the surging Connectivity market. Its performances combined with the high level of flexibility in terms of coverage, bandwidth allocation, and power levels, will offer an unparalleled quality of service to Eutelsat customers for ADVANCE backhauling, enterprise, government, aero, and maritime solutions.

It will also be able to accommodate joint GEO-LEO services, specifically in zones where demand is highly concentrated.

Flexsat Americas is expected to be delivered in 2026.

FLEXSAT ASIA

The latest flexible, software-defined satellite will deliver high-throughput capacity in Asia

Eutelsat is partnering with Space Tech Innovation Limited (STI), a subsidiary of Thaicom, to expand in-orbit assets by deploying Flexsat Asia, a new state-of-the-art software-defined satellite (SDS).

Designed to address the surging demand for connectivity across Asia, this high-throughput satellite, will provide an additional 50 Gbps of capacity, enhancing Eutelsat’s ability to deliver seamless telecommunication services throughout the region.

This innovative satellite will offer unprecedented flexibility with real-time in-orbit adjustments to optimize coverage, bandwidth, and power allocation. As part of the partnership, Eutelsat will lease and operate 50% of the satellite’s capacity over its lifetime, complementing Eutelsat’s multi-orbit approach that integrates GEO and LEO networks for enhanced service delivery.

With this cutting-edge satellite, Eutelsat will capture new growth opportunities in Asia while meeting the region’s increasing demand for high-quality connectivity solutions.

Flexsat Asia will provide service throughout the continent from its orbital position at the 119.5° East.

Flexsat Asia is expected to be delivered in 2027.
